Common questions about plans, billing, and the early-bird offer.

How long does the early-bird pricing last?

Early-bird pricing is locked in for the lifetime of your account as long as you maintain an active subscription. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, you will pay the regular rate. We will announce when early-bird pricing ends at least 30 days in advance.

What happens if I exceed my monthly lookups?

On the Free tier, lookups stop at 50 - there is no overage. On paid plans, you can keep making requests beyond your limit. Overage is billed per-lookup at your tier's rate ($0.12 for Starter, $0.08 for Pro, $0.06 for Business) at the end of the billing cycle.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. You can switch tiers at any time from your dashboard. When upgrading, the difference is prorated for the rest of your billing cycle. When downgrading, the new rate applies at your next billing date.

Do unused lookups roll over?

No. Lookup allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle. This keeps pricing simple and predictable. If you consistently use less than your allowance, consider a lower tier - you can always upgrade later.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed through Stripe. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and ACH bank transfers for Business tier accounts. All prices are in USD.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. You can cancel anytime and your access continues until the end of your current billing period. The Free tier has no billing at all.

What counts as a "lookup"?

One lookup equals one license verification request to a state board. A single API call to /v1/verify counts as one lookup. A batch request with 25 licenses counts as 25 lookups. Cached responses within the 24-hour window do not count against your quota.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet. We plan to introduce annual billing with a discount after our public launch. Early-bird pricing already represents 80% off, so the current monthly rate is already well below what annual pricing would be at standard rates.
